What are micropellets?
Micropellets are small, spherical or hemispherical solid particles, usually between 0.5 and 2.0 millimeters in size. They are widely used in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, food and other industries due to their uniform size, controlled release and ease of handling and processing.
Micropellet Structure
Micropellets typically consist of the following components:
Core: the internal part that contains the active ingredient or substance.
Coating: an outer layer that can be customized to control the rate of release of the core substance. This can be a single or multiple layers of polymers, waxes or other materials.
Advantages of MicroPellets
Small particle size: generally less than 1 mm, stable transportation, little influence by food, small inter-individual pharmacokinetic differences.
High utilization: large specific surface area reduces irritation and improves bioavailability.
Multi-unit release: each capsule contains hundreds or thousands of micro-pills, the overall release effect is constant, safe and effective.
Free combination: micro-pills with different release rates can be mixed and packaged to adjust the overall release rate and make the pharmacokinetics more reasonable.
Easy to take: it can be taken alone or mixed into the diet to solve the difficulty of swallowing and improve compliance, suitable for children, the elderly and psychiatric patients.
